C: CHARACTER; scalar; INTENT(IN).

Description:
Writes the single character C in stream mode to unit Unit
(by-passing normal formatted output) using putc(3).
Returns 0 on
success, the error code from ferror(3) otherwise.
Stream I/O should not be mixed with normal record-oriented (formatted or unformatted) I/O on the same unit; the results are unpredictable.
